Administrative Setup

Chitrkoot Dham division consists of four districts namely- Banda, Hamirpur, Chitrakoot and Mahoba and is headed by the Divisional Commissioner Chitrkoot Dham Mandal. The Commissioner is the head of local government institutions in the division, in charge of infrastructural development in his division, and is also responsible for maintaining law and order in the division.

Mahoba district administration is headed by the Disgrict Magistrate of Mahoba. The District Magistrate is assisted by Chief Development Officer and Additional District Magistrate.
The district is divided into 03 Tehsils (Mahoba, Charkhari and Kulpahar) and 04 Development Blocks (Kabrai, Charkhari , Jaitpur and Panwari). Each Tehsil is headed by a Sub Divisional Magistrate.

Mahoba district police is headed by a Superintendent of Police. It has 03 Circle Office and 10 Police Stations and One Mahila Thana.
